A satirical football management game for iPhone. Survive the board.

Full Backing is made by one person and a very patient assistant manager. If something is broken, confusing, unfair, or simply not to the chairman's liking, write in.

It helps enormously if you include what happened, what you expected to happen, your iPhone model and iOS version (Settings → General → About), and, if relevant, how long you survived before the sack. A screenshot is worth a thousand angry letters.

All correspondence is read, though the club cannot guarantee the board will act on it.

Common questions

I've been sacked. Is that everything gone?

No. The album outlives the career. Stickers you have collected stay collected, and your record carries across every job you take: longest reign, honours, and who sacked you by lunchtime. Being sacked is the loop, not the end of it. Take the next position from Situations Vacant.

Where are my saves kept?

On your phone, and nowhere else. There is no account and no sync between devices. Your album and careers travel with a standard iPhone backup or a device-to-device transfer, but there is no cloud save sitting on a server waiting to be restored, so deleting the app deletes the lot.

It's too easy. Or far too hard.

Open The Small Print (on the album cover, or in the club bar while you're playing) and turn on Printed On Harder Card. Every blow then lands 1.45× harder. There are no refunds and no apologies.

Can I turn the sound off?

Yes. The Small Print → Sound & Such. Haptics have their own switch, Buzz & Rumble, if you want the noise but not the foil giving way in your hand.

The text is too small.

Turn on Large Print in The Small Print. The game also follows your iPhone's own text size (Settings → Display & Brightness → Text Size), and it is built to work with VoiceOver.

Does it work on iPad?

It is built for iPhone. It will run on an iPad in iPhone compatibility mode, but the album was drawn for a phone held in one hand and that is where it looks right.

Is it coming to Android?

Not today, and nothing is promised. If that changes it will be announced here first.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. The game plays entirely offline. It works on a train, on a plane, and in the away end where there is no signal.
